Belline in Dubai

AI receptionist for hotels and guest houses in Dubai

A Dubai hotel's phone answers to flights that land at two in the morning and to guests whose working day began while the city was asleep. Belline answers through all of it, from your own check-in times, transfer notes and directions — and holds no room, no rate and no date.

  • Captures enquiries
  • Books appointments, or takes the request

Two calls a hotel actually takes.

The first is the request taken for your team to confirm. The second is the call Belline refuses or hands over — which is the one you are really deciding about.

Ringing

Dubai, specifically

What a hotel in Dubai is actually answering.

Dubai is a city where the working day and the trading day are different things.

The arrivals land in the middle of the night

Dubai's long-haul traffic comes in at hours no other business keeps. A guest whose flight touches down at half past two rings from the arrivals hall about the pick-up, and the family who landed at five asks whether they can get into the room now or leave the bags. A property with one person covering the desk, the door and the luggage trolley cannot spend twenty minutes on that call. Belline answers it, reads back what you have written about early arrival and left luggage, and writes the rest down for whoever is on shift.

Your guests are in every timezone at once, and many of them would rather type

An enquiry from Europe arrives in the middle of a Dubai evening, one from east Asia before breakfast, and a great many of them come as a message rather than a call — in the UAE, messaging a business is the ordinary thing to do. Belline answers a WhatsApp number of its own alongside the phone, from the same check-in times, the same parking notes and the same written policies, so the answer does not depend on the channel somebody picked or the hour they picked it.

In this city, getting to the door is a real question

Dubai addresses are towers, podiums and mall entrances, and a guest in a taxi on Sheikh Zayed Road with a driver who has found the wrong side of the building is not going to work it out alone. Whether you are in the Marina, Business Bay, Deira or on the Jumeirah strip, the directions that matter are yours — the entrance, the level, the valet, the nearest metro, whether there is parking for a hire car. Belline reads them back exactly as you wrote them and takes a message for anything you have not.

The season and the calendar move the whole business

A Dubai property's winter is nothing like its August, and Ramadan changes the shape of the day again: the breakfast hour, the pool, the restaurant times, the staffing at the desk. All of that is written in your own hours and notes, and Belline reads whatever is written there today rather than what was true last season. What it never does is turn a busy weekend into a quoted rate — room pricing here moves by the day, so anything tied to a date goes to your desk.

Languages on the line

English is the working language of most Dubai businesses, and Arabic is the official one. On a busy reception line you will also hear Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Tagalog, because that is who lives and works here. Belline answers in English.

In an emergency

Belline gives the instruction you set for the UAE: 998 for an ambulance, or the nearest emergency department. It takes no appointment request at that moment, because an appointment would be the wrong answer.

Your own number

Keep the Dubai number on your door and your listings. You forward the calls nobody answers; nothing about how customers reach you changes.

What comes down the line

Every call a hotel gets, and what happens to it.

With your calendar connected, Belline checks it and books the time straight in, on the phone, in chat, on WhatsApp and on video. Without one, it takes the request and your team confirms it.

Room enquiries, taken as a request

The dates, the number of nights, how many adults and children, the sort of room they are after and a number to ring back on. Belline writes all of it down for your front desk. It does not say a room is available, does not say one is held, and does not confirm anything.

Check-in, check-out and luggage

The times you published, your written rule on early arrival and late departure, and whether bags can be left. A request for an exception is taken as a message for the desk rather than granted on the phone, because that depends on who is leaving that morning.

Transfers, parking and getting to the door

Whether you run an airport pick-up, what you have written about the charge for it, where a car goes, which entrance to use and how far the metro or the beach is. Read back exactly as you wrote it, and taken as a message when it is not written down.

What the rate includes

Breakfast, wifi, the pool, the gym, the cot, the extra bed, the city and tourism charges a guest sees at the end. Belline reads back what you have written about each and puts no number on anything you have not.

Guests who are already staying

A request for towels, a room that is too warm, a taxi for six in the morning. Taken as a message with the room number and passed to the desk, which is where it has to be acted on. Belline does not tell a guest when somebody will come up.

Groups, long stays and corporate rates

A block of rooms for a family, a month in a serviced apartment, a company asking about a rate for the year. Taken as an enquiry with the dates, the headcount and a number, flagged for whoever prices that sort of thing — never quoted.

Where it stops

The most important thing it does is know what it must not answer.

Belline never holds a room, a rate or a date, and never tells a caller that any of the three is available. It cannot see your rooms, your channel manager or tonight's occupancy, so it does not say whether you are full. It reads back your published times, charges and policies as you wrote them, takes the enquiry, and your front desk answers it and confirms.

How it works

Set up from what you already have.

Most of the work is checking what Belline found. You decide when customers reach it.

  1. Give Belline what you already have

Your website, price list or brochure. It reads them and drafts your services, prices, hours and the questions a hotel gets asked every day.

  2. Check what it found

Fix anything wrong, fill the gaps, and set the rules it must hold. Nothing goes live until you have read it.

  3. Switch it on

Ring it yourself first. Then forward your line and paste one line of HTML into your website. Customers only reach Belline once you do.

An answering service takes a message. Belline answers the question, takes the details and tells your team what to do next.

What counts as a minute

A minute is time Belline spends on a live call with your caller — on your phone line or through the voice button on your website — from the moment it answers to the moment the call ends, rounded up to the next whole minute. Calls you make from your own test console do not count, and neither do calls cut short by a fault on our side.

What counts as a conversation

A conversation is one customer's thread in your website chat or on WhatsApp in which Belline replies at least once. Everything that customer says in the 24 hours after Belline's first reply is the same conversation. Threads your team answers without Belline do not count.

When an allowance runs out

When an allowance runs out, you choose what happens: move up to the next plan, or stop at the allowance. We tell you at 70%, 90% and 100%. Nothing is ever added to your bill without you choosing it.

7 days free

7 days free: 30 voice or 12 video minutes and 50 text conversations, with your website chat, the voice button on the same page, WhatsApp and your phone line all switched on. Customer stories

There is no testimonial here yet.

When a hotel in Dubai agrees to be named, its story goes in this space: what it was losing, what it changed, and what its own team says about it. Until then this space stays empty on purpose. We are not going to write a quotation nobody said, or count customers we do not have.

Questions

What operators ask us.

A guest lands at four in the morning and rings from the airport

Belline answers. It reads back what you have written about arriving before check-in, whether bags can be left and how the transfer works, then takes the guest's name, their flight and their number for the desk. It does not say a room is ready, because at four in the morning nobody has told it that.

Does it answer our WhatsApp as well as the phone?

Yes, on a WhatsApp number of its own that we set up with you, from the same times, charges and policies. Your existing number stays exactly as it is. For a Dubai property that is the channel a good part of the enquiries arrive on.

Guests ask what the charges on the bill are. Can it explain them?

Only what you have written down about them, in your words — the city and tourism charges, a deposit you take at check-in, what the rate includes. It puts no figure on anything you have not written, and a query about one particular bill goes to your desk as a message.

We are in a tower with three entrances. Can it explain which one?

Word for word from your own directions: the entrance, the floor, the lift lobby, the valet, where a taxi should stop. In a city of podium addresses that is one of the calls that actually costs you something when nobody picks it up.

Will it hold a room for somebody?

No, and this is the one to be clear about. A room is inventory: a caller who hears anything like a confirmation will arrive believing there is a bed waiting. Belline takes the dates, the party and the number, says your front desk will come back to them, and holds nothing at all.

What happens at three in the morning?

It answers, the same as it does at three in the afternoon. That is most of the point of it for a property with one person on nights: the arrival ringing to say the flight is delayed gets taken down instead of ringing out at an empty counter.
