Belline in Abu Dhabi

AI receptionist for hotels and guest houses in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi hotels take a good part of their business from government and corporate travel, and those calls land before eight in the morning. Belline answers at both ends of the capital's day, takes the enquiry for your front desk, and never confirms a room or a rate.

Hear the line

Two calls a hotel actually takes.

The first is the request taken for your team to confirm. The second is the call Belline refuses or hands over — which is the one you are really deciding about.

Ringing

Abu Dhabi, specifically

What a hotel in Abu Dhabi is actually answering.

Abu Dhabi keeps government hours, and everything else keeps hours around them.

The corporate booker rings before your desk is staffed

Government and corporate Abu Dhabi is at work before eight, and the person arranging travel for a delegation or a visiting contractor works the same hours. That produces a first wave of calls about rooms, corporate rates and invoicing that arrives while the night shift is still on. Belline takes each of them with the dates, the number of rooms, the company and a contact, so the morning starts with a list for your reservations desk instead of three numbers on a missed-call log.

Everything here is a drive, so the transfer question comes first

Between the airport, the island, Yas, Saadiyat, Al Raha and Khalifa City, a guest booking a room in Abu Dhabi is also working out how they will get to it and how far they are from wherever they are going. Whether you run a shuttle, what a transfer costs, how long the drive takes, whether there is parking: those answers exist in writing at your property and nowhere on a booking screen. Belline reads back the ones you have written and takes the rest as a message.

The big weekends arrive all at once

Race weekend at Yas, a concert, a conference at the exhibition centre, National Day: Abu Dhabi's demand comes in spikes that everybody in the city feels on the same nights. That is when the phone is loudest and when the honest answer to most callers is that somebody will come back to them. Belline answers every one of those calls and writes each enquiry down. It never tells a caller the property is full and never tells one that it is not, because it cannot see a single room.

Long stays are a different conversation

A capital full of relocating staff, project teams and visiting families means serviced apartments and guest houses field enquiries measured in months rather than nights, often with a company paying. Those are not reservations, they are negotiations. Belline takes the dates, the headcount, who is paying and a number, and flags them for whoever prices a long stay — with no rate mentioned, monthly or nightly.

Languages on the line

English and Arabic, with Arabic noticeably more present on a business line here than in Dubai — Abu Dhabi is the capital and a great deal of the work is government and government-adjacent. Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Tagalog are common too. Belline answers in English.

In an emergency

Belline gives the instruction you set for the UAE: 998 for an ambulance, or the nearest emergency department. It takes no appointment request at that moment, because an appointment would be the wrong answer.

Your own number

Keep the Abu Dhabi number on your door and your listings. You forward the calls nobody answers; nothing about how customers reach you changes.

What comes down the line

Every call a hotel gets, and what happens to it.

With your calendar connected, Belline checks it and books the time straight in, on the phone, in chat, on WhatsApp and on video. Without one, it takes the request and your team confirms it.

Room enquiries, taken as a request

The dates, the number of nights, how many adults and children, the sort of room they are after and a number to ring back on. Belline writes all of it down for your front desk. It does not say a room is available, does not say one is held, and does not confirm anything.

Check-in, check-out and luggage

The times you published, your written rule on early arrival and late departure, and whether bags can be left. A request for an exception is taken as a message for the desk rather than granted on the phone, because that depends on who is leaving that morning.

Transfers, parking and getting to the door

Whether you run an airport pick-up, what you have written about the charge for it, where a car goes, which entrance to use and how far the metro or the beach is. Read back exactly as you wrote it, and taken as a message when it is not written down.

What the rate includes

Breakfast, wifi, the pool, the gym, the cot, the extra bed, the city and tourism charges a guest sees at the end. Belline reads back what you have written about each and puts no number on anything you have not.

Guests who are already staying

A request for towels, a room that is too warm, a taxi for six in the morning. Taken as a message with the room number and passed to the desk, which is where it has to be acted on. Belline does not tell a guest when somebody will come up.

Groups, long stays and corporate rates

A block of rooms for a family, a month in a serviced apartment, a company asking about a rate for the year. Taken as an enquiry with the dates, the headcount and a number, flagged for whoever prices that sort of thing — never quoted.

Where it stops

The most important thing it does is know what it must not answer.

Belline never holds a room, a rate or a date, and never tells a caller that any of the three is available. It cannot see your rooms, your channel manager or tonight's occupancy, so it does not say whether you are full. It reads back your published times, charges and policies as you wrote them, takes the enquiry, and your front desk answers it and confirms.

A brass service bell on a hotel reception counter, with nobody behind it.

Call answering, website chat and WhatsApp — one receptionist.

Chat and voice on your website, WhatsApp and your phone, with the same information and the same rules in each.

Belline answers a second WhatsApp number you register with it. Your own WhatsApp stays as it is. The same WhatsApp-first habit as the rest of the UAE, with a slightly stronger expectation of a proper callback: an Abu Dhabi caller who leaves details expects a person to ring, not an automated reply.

How it works

Set up from what you already have.

Most of the work is checking what Belline found. You decide when customers reach it.

  1. Give Belline what you already have

Your website, price list or brochure. It reads them and drafts your services, prices, hours and the questions a hotel gets asked every day.

  2. Check what it found

Fix anything wrong, fill the gaps, and set the rules it must hold. Nothing goes live until you have read it.

  3. Switch it on

Ring it yourself first. Then forward your line and paste one line of HTML into your website. Customers only reach Belline once you do.

An answering service takes a message. Belline answers the question, takes the details and tells your team what to do next.

What counts as a minute

A minute is time Belline spends on a live call with your caller — on your phone line or through the voice button on your website — from the moment it answers to the moment the call ends, rounded up to the next whole minute. Calls you make from your own test console do not count, and neither do calls cut short by a fault on our side.

What counts as a conversation

A conversation is one customer's thread in your website chat or on WhatsApp in which Belline replies at least once. Everything that customer says in the 24 hours after Belline's first reply is the same conversation. Threads your team answers without Belline do not count.

When an allowance runs out

When an allowance runs out, you choose what happens: move up to the next plan, or stop at the allowance. We tell you at 70%, 90% and 100%. Nothing is ever added to your bill without you choosing it.

7 days free

7 days free: 30 voice or 12 video minutes and 50 text conversations, with your website chat, the voice button on the same page, WhatsApp and your phone line all switched on. Customer stories

There is no testimonial here yet.

When a hotel in Abu Dhabi agrees to be named, its story goes in this space: what it was losing, what it changed, and what its own team says about it. Until then this space stays empty on purpose. We are not going to write a quotation nobody said, or count customers we do not have.

Questions

What operators ask us.

A company asks for a corporate rate. What does it do?

Takes the enquiry: the company, the dates, how many rooms, who to contact and whether there is an existing agreement. It does not quote a corporate rate or say whether one applies, because that is a commercial arrangement and it belongs with the person who negotiates them.

Can it say we are sold out on a race weekend?

No, in either direction. It has no view of your rooms, and on the weekends that matter most in Abu Dhabi the position changes hour by hour. It takes the dates and the party and your reservations desk answers with something true.

Guests ask about getting to the airport or out to Yas

It reads back what you have written about your shuttle, the transfer charge and the drive, exactly as you wrote it. A request to book a car is taken as a message for the desk with the time and the pick-up point, rather than arranged on the call.

Somebody rings before the reservations office opens

That is the point of it here. The early calls the capital generates get answered, written down with the dates and a contact, and are on the desk when the office does open — which is the difference between a delegation booking with you and booking with whoever answered.

Can it tell a caller whether we have availability tonight?

No. It has no view of your rooms, your channel manager or what the night shift has already sold, and a guess about a full house on a busy weekend is the worst possible thing to be wrong about. It takes the enquiry and your desk answers it.

A guest in the building has a problem. Does it deal with it?

It takes the room number and what they said, marks it for the desk and says somebody will come back to them. It does not promise a time, send anybody up, or try to solve it, because nothing it could do about a broken air conditioner would be true.
