Belline in Abu Dhabi
AI receptionist for medical and health practices in Abu Dhabi
In Abu Dhabi the employer is often part of the appointment and the drive across the city is part of keeping it. Belline answers before your desk opens and after it closes, takes the request, and gives no medical information of any kind.

Two calls a practice actually takes.
The first is the request taken for your team to confirm. The second is the call Belline refuses or hands over — which is the one you are really deciding about.
Abu Dhabi, specifically
What a practice in Abu Dhabi is actually answering.
Abu Dhabi keeps government hours, and everything else keeps hours around them.
The first calls arrive before the desk is staffed
Government and corporate Abu Dhabi is at work before eight, and a patient arranging something around that day does it on the way in or on the way home. A practice with a desk from nine until six is open for the middle of the day and closed for both ends of it — and the ends are where the arranging happens. Belline picks up in those hours, takes the name, the service and when somebody could come, and hands your team a list at the start of the morning.
Somebody's employer is often in the conversation
A great deal of work here is government or corporate, and with it come scheme approvals, referral letters, occupational checks and a coordinator ringing to arrange something for somebody else. Belline captures the organisation, who the appointment is actually for, the reference they quote and a number, and flags it as that rather than dropping it in with the walk-up enquiries. What it does not do is say whether an approval will be accepted, because your team is the one that has seen how that scheme behaves.
A course of rehabilitation has to survive the drive
Physiotherapy and rehabilitation are booked as a run of visits, and in Abu Dhabi each of them carries a journey from Khalifa City, Al Raha or the mainland onto the island at the hour everybody else is making it too. Patients move one session, then another, and each change arrives as a phone call while the therapist is with somebody. Belline takes the change with the patient's name and what they believe is booked, so the diary is rearranged by a person who can see it rather than discovered wrong at the door.
Summer empties the diary in blocks
Abu Dhabi families travel for long stretches in the summer, and a course of appointments booked in May is interrupted by six weeks away rather than by a single cancellation. The calls that manage that — pausing, restarting, asking whether the same slot can be held in September — arrive in the middle of clinic sessions and are exactly the calls that never get returned. Belline writes each of them down with the dates, and nothing is promised about a slot in September.
Languages on the line
English and Arabic, with Arabic noticeably more present on a business line here than in Dubai — Abu Dhabi is the capital and a great deal of the work is government and government-adjacent. Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Tagalog are common too. Belline answers in English.
In an emergency
Belline gives the instruction you set for the UAE: 998 for an ambulance, or the nearest emergency department. It takes no appointment request at that moment, because an appointment would be the wrong answer.
Your own number
Keep the Abu Dhabi number on your door and your listings. You forward the calls nobody answers; nothing about how customers reach you changes.
What comes down the line
Every call a practice gets, and what happens to it.
For a clinic, Belline takes appointment requests only, and your team confirms every one. It does not book a clinic appointment itself yet.
Appointment requests
The patient's name and number, the clinician or the service they are asking for, whether they have been before, and when they could come. For a clinic, Belline takes appointment requests only, and your team confirms every one. It does not book a clinic appointment itself yet.
Insurance, referrals and payment
Read back from the list you have written — which arrangements you hold, whether you bill direct, what a self-paying consultation costs. Whether one person's policy covers one visit is not on that list and is taken as a message with their number.
Anything clinical at all
Symptoms, results, medication, whether an appointment can wait. Belline says plainly that it cannot help with that and asks for no more. What the patient said is in the call's transcript for your team. It takes their number and marks the call for your clinical team, who go through it with them.
Courses, follow-ups and rescheduling
A patient moving one session of a course, or asking for the next in a run, is taken as a message with the appointment they believe they have — so the diary can be rearranged by somebody who can see it.
Practical questions
Hours, parking, which floor, what to bring, how long a first session runs, whether a test needs fasting where you have written that down. Your notes exactly, and a message when the answer is not in them.
Reports, results and letters
Never read out and never summarised. The request is taken with the patient's number and passed to your team, who know what has actually been released and to whom.
Emergencies
Belline stops taking a booking and follows the instruction you set — it puts the caller through to the number you gave it, or reads out the emergency instruction you wrote for your country. No appointment is taken, because an appointment would be the wrong answer at that moment.
Where it stops
The most important thing it does is know what it must not answer.
Belline gives no medical information of any kind. It does not discuss a symptom, a result, a medication or a condition, it does not say whether somebody should be seen or how soon, and it does not triage or judge how urgent a call is — that is a clinician's decision and Belline is reception. Please do not use it for medical details. Anything urgent, and anything a caller calls an emergency, goes to a person immediately: it follows the routing you set, puts the call through to the number you gave it or reads out your own emergency instruction, and takes no appointment request at all.

Give Belline what you already have
Your website, price list or brochure. It reads them and drafts your services, prices, hours and the questions a practice gets asked every day.
-
Check what it found
Fix anything wrong, fill the gaps, and set the rules it must hold. Nothing goes live until you have read it.
-
Switch it on
Ring it yourself first. Then forward your line and paste one line of HTML into your website. Customers only reach Belline once you do.

An answering service takes a message. Belline answers the question, takes the details and tells your team what to do next.
What counts as a minute
A minute is time Belline spends on a live call with your caller — on your phone line or through the voice button on your website — from the moment it answers to the moment the call ends, rounded up to the next whole minute. Calls you make from your own test console do not count, and neither do calls cut short by a fault on our side.
What counts as a conversation
A conversation is one customer's thread in your website chat or on WhatsApp in which Belline replies at least once. Everything that customer says in the 24 hours after Belline's first reply is the same conversation. Threads your team answers without Belline do not count.
When an allowance runs out
When an allowance runs out, you choose what happens: move up to the next plan, or stop at the allowance. We tell you at 70%, 90% and 100%. Nothing is ever added to your bill without you choosing it.

Customer stories
There is no testimonial here yet.
When a practice in Abu Dhabi agrees to be named, its story goes in this space: what it was losing, what it changed, and what its own team says about it. Until then this space stays empty on purpose. We are not going to write a quotation nobody said, or count customers we do not have.

Questions
What operators ask us.
A coordinator is booking for an employee. What does it capture?
The organisation, the person the appointment is for, what has been asked for, any reference or approval number they give, and a number to ring back on. It is flagged as employer-arranged so whoever handles those sees it as one, and nothing about the approval itself is agreed on the call.
Will it answer before seven in the morning?
It answers whenever your line is forwarded to it, and in Abu Dhabi that early hour is when a working patient can talk. The request is waiting when your desk opens instead of sitting as a missed number nobody can put a name to.
Can it move one session of a rehabilitation course?
It takes the request to move it, with the patient's name, the session they think they have and when they could come instead. Your team makes the change, because a course is a shape in a diary and only somebody looking at that diary can see what moving one visit does to the rest.
Somebody asks whether their referral letter is enough
That is taken as a message with their number, not answered. Whether a letter, an approval or a scheme covers what they are asking for is your team's call, and a phone line that guessed at it would be sending somebody across the city for an appointment that cannot go ahead.
What happens if somebody rings who needs help now?
It leaves the booking conversation immediately. Belline follows the routing you set — the number to put the caller through to, or the emergency instruction you wrote for your country — and takes no appointment. It does not work out how serious the call is first.
Is this different from your clinics page?
Yes. The clinics pages are written for aesthetic and cosmetic work, where the conversation is about a treatment somebody has chosen, and there is a separate set for dental practices. This one is the everyday appointment: a GP follow-up, a physiotherapy session, an eye test, a dietitian.
