Terms of service
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms apply between Belline Technologies Limited ("Belline", "we") and the business that creates an account ("you"). By starting a trial or a plan, you agree to them. The privacy policy and, where we process your customers' personal data for you, the data processing agreement are part of them.
1. The service
Belline answers telephone calls you forward to it, the voice button and chat on your website, and a second WhatsApp number you register with Belline yourself, in your dashboard. Your own WhatsApp stays as it is. Belline answers questions from the information you give it, takes messages and booking requests, puts urgent calls through to a team number where you have set one, and writes a summary and transcript of every conversation. Where you have connected a supported booking system or calendar, it checks availability and makes bookings in it. Today you can connect Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar or Calendly; where none is connected, your team confirms every booking request. Belline answers in English and German; each business chooses which of them it answers in. Features differ by plan, as shown on the pricing page.
2. The free trial
7 days free: 30 voice or 12 video minutes and 50 text conversations, with your website chat, the voice button on the same page, WhatsApp and your phone line all switched on. No card: nothing is charged unless you choose a plan, and on day 8 without one Belline pauses until you do. Standard onboarding is free.
A trial's voice minutes and text conversations are a limit. When its voice minutes are used, Belline stops answering calls and the voice button on your website. When its text conversations are used, it stops replying on your website chat and WhatsApp. When a trial ends without a plan, Belline stops answering until you choose one. Nothing you have set up is deleted, and choosing a plan starts it again straight away.
3. Plans, billing and cancelling
- Plans are priced per location, in the currency shown for your business's country on the pricing page and at checkout, which is US dollars where your country has no prices of its own. They are billed monthly or yearly in advance, by card through Stripe. Prices exclude tax where it applies. Where Belline is registered to collect your country's tax, such as VAT, GST, HST or sales tax, it is worked out from your billing address and shown at checkout before you pay; a business that gives a valid tax number may have the reverse charge applied instead.
- Belline is sold in most countries, but not where sanctions forbid it, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus and the occupied regions of Ukraine, and not in a country we have not opened yet. The checkout shows the countries you can choose.
- Belline is not offered in the United States for health care providers or for patient health information.
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance of voice minutes and text conversations, defined on the pricing page. When an allowance runs out, you choose what happens: move up to the next plan, or stop at the allowance. We tell you at 70%, 90% and 100%. Nothing is ever added to your bill without you choosing it.
- You can cancel at any time. The service continues to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops. Payments already made are not refunded part-way through a period, except where the law requires.
- If a payment fails, Belline keeps answering while the payment is retried. If payment is still not made, we may stop the service until it is.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A change applies from your next billing period.
4. Your responsibilities
- Accurate information. Belline answers from what you give it, including your website and any price lists or brochures you upload. Check the draft it makes, keep your hours, services, prices, staff and rules up to date, and check how it answers before you forward real calls.
- Your phone line. You set up call forwarding. Your phone provider may charge for forwarded calls, and forwarding to a number in another country can cost more. Those charges are yours.
- The second WhatsApp number. The second number you register with Belline must be one you are entitled to use, and WhatsApp's business terms apply to it.
- Telling your customers. You are responsible for any notice the law requires you to give your customers, including that they may be speaking to an automated assistant and how their data is used.
- Messages. Belline replies in conversations your customers start. When Belline books an appointment and the customer has given an email address, it emails them the booking with a calendar file and a link to change or cancel it. A restaurant table gets no email. It sends no reminders, and nothing goes to a customer about a request: your team confirms those. If messages to customers become available and you turn them on, Belline sends them only about requests and bookings your customers have made, and you must have the right to contact those customers.
- Lawful use. You may not use Belline for unlawful, misleading or harassing contact, for marketing calls or messages, or in a way that would put us in breach of our providers' terms.
- Your account. Keep passwords private, and give access only to people who work for you.
5. What Belline does not do
Belline is a receptionist. It does not give medical, legal or financial advice, and it is not an emergency service. It can make mistakes: it may mishear a name or a number, or misunderstand a request. Every conversation is shown in your dashboard with its summary and transcript so you can check it, and you remain responsible for the bookings you accept and the services you provide.
6. Your data
The information you add and the records of your conversations and requests belong to you. We process them to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy and the data processing agreement. If you leave, we will hand your data over on request and delete it within 90 days of your account closing, except records we must keep by law.
7. Availability
We work to keep Belline answering at all hours, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or free of faults. It depends on telephone networks and other providers outside our control. A call that Belline's own service fails part-way through does not count towards your minutes. A call cut short by a telephone network or the caller's connection counts for the time it was connected.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, lost business or indirect loss, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months.
9. Suspending or ending the service
We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or leaves invoices unpaid, and we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time by writing to us.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Belline after that means you accept the change.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai, and the DIFC Courts. If something goes wrong, write to us first and we will try to put it right.
