Belline in Sharjah

AI receptionist for hotels and guest houses in Sharjah

A Sharjah hotel or guest house takes calls from families driving in for a weekend, from long-stay guests, and from people checking what the emirate's rules mean for their trip. Belline answers all of it from your own notes, and confirms no room and no rate.

Hear the line

Two calls a hotel actually takes.

The first is the request taken for your team to confirm. The second is the call Belline refuses or hands over — which is the one you are really deciding about.

Ringing

Sharjah, specifically

What a hotel in Sharjah is actually answering.

Sharjah runs on two calendars at once.

Two weekends, and the phone rings on both

Sharjah's own government works Monday to Thursday with a three-day weekend from Friday to Sunday, while a large share of the people who might stay with you keep Dubai's Monday to Friday. For a property here that means arrivals and enquiries spread across a longer weekend than either neighbour has, and it means the busiest check-in hour on a Thursday evening is also the hour the phone is going. Belline answers through both calendars and reads back whatever hours you have actually set.

Callers ask what the emirate's rules mean for their stay

Sharjah is a dry emirate, and guests who have stayed elsewhere in the UAE ring to ask what that means for them, along with questions about family rooms, visitors, and what is expected in public areas. These are not awkward questions and they are not questions to improvise: every property has a written answer to each. Belline reads yours back in your own words and takes anything you have not written as a message for the desk rather than guessing at a house rule.

A great many of the stays are measured in months

Between the serviced apartments in Al Majaz and Al Nahda and the guest houses near the corniche, a real part of the business here is people staying for a season while they work in Sharjah or commute into Dubai. Those callers ask about monthly rates, parking, laundry, whether a family can join later. Belline takes the dates, the headcount and the number and hands it to whoever prices a long stay. No monthly figure is said out loud, because that is a negotiation and not a tariff.

Most guests arrive by road, and they ring from it

Sharjah takes visitors who have driven from Dubai, from the northern emirates and from across the border, and the call that comes in at eight in the evening is somebody in traffic asking how to find the building and where to leave the car. Al Khan, Al Majaz and Al Qasimia are not addresses a navigation app settles by itself. Belline reads back your own directions and parking notes exactly, and takes the arrival time down for the desk.

Languages on the line

Arabic is more present in everyday Sharjah than in Dubai, and English is still the common business language. Urdu, Hindi and Malayalam are widely spoken across the emirate's residential districts. Belline answers in English.

In an emergency

Belline gives the instruction you set for the UAE: 998 for an ambulance, or the nearest emergency department. It takes no appointment request at that moment, because an appointment would be the wrong answer.

Your own number

Keep the Sharjah number on your door and your listings. You forward the calls nobody answers; nothing about how customers reach you changes.

What comes down the line

Every call a hotel gets, and what happens to it.

With your calendar connected, Belline checks it and books the time straight in, on the phone, in chat, on WhatsApp and on video. Without one, it takes the request and your team confirms it.

Room enquiries, taken as a request

The dates, the number of nights, how many adults and children, the sort of room they are after and a number to ring back on. Belline writes all of it down for your front desk. It does not say a room is available, does not say one is held, and does not confirm anything.

Check-in, check-out and luggage

The times you published, your written rule on early arrival and late departure, and whether bags can be left. A request for an exception is taken as a message for the desk rather than granted on the phone, because that depends on who is leaving that morning.

Transfers, parking and getting to the door

Whether you run an airport pick-up, what you have written about the charge for it, where a car goes, which entrance to use and how far the metro or the beach is. Read back exactly as you wrote it, and taken as a message when it is not written down.

What the rate includes

Breakfast, wifi, the pool, the gym, the cot, the extra bed, the city and tourism charges a guest sees at the end. Belline reads back what you have written about each and puts no number on anything you have not.

Guests who are already staying

A request for towels, a room that is too warm, a taxi for six in the morning. Taken as a message with the room number and passed to the desk, which is where it has to be acted on. Belline does not tell a guest when somebody will come up.

Groups, long stays and corporate rates

A block of rooms for a family, a month in a serviced apartment, a company asking about a rate for the year. Taken as an enquiry with the dates, the headcount and a number, flagged for whoever prices that sort of thing — never quoted.

Where it stops

The most important thing it does is know what it must not answer.

Belline never holds a room, a rate or a date, and never tells a caller that any of the three is available. It cannot see your rooms, your channel manager or tonight's occupancy, so it does not say whether you are full. It reads back your published times, charges and policies as you wrote them, takes the enquiry, and your front desk answers it and confirms.

A brass service bell on a hotel reception counter, with nobody behind it.

How it works

Set up from what you already have.

Most of the work is checking what Belline found. You decide when customers reach it.

  1. Give Belline what you already have

Your website, price list or brochure. It reads them and drafts your services, prices, hours and the questions a hotel gets asked every day.

  2. Check what it found

Fix anything wrong, fill the gaps, and set the rules it must hold. Nothing goes live until you have read it.

  3. Switch it on

Ring it yourself first. Then forward your line and paste one line of HTML into your website. Customers only reach Belline once you do.

An answering service takes a message. Belline answers the question, takes the details and tells your team what to do next.

What counts as a minute

A minute is time Belline spends on a live call with your caller — on your phone line or through the voice button on your website — from the moment it answers to the moment the call ends, rounded up to the next whole minute. Calls you make from your own test console do not count, and neither do calls cut short by a fault on our side.

What counts as a conversation

A conversation is one customer's thread in your website chat or on WhatsApp in which Belline replies at least once. Everything that customer says in the 24 hours after Belline's first reply is the same conversation. Threads your team answers without Belline do not count.

When an allowance runs out

When an allowance runs out, you choose what happens: move up to the next plan, or stop at the allowance. We tell you at 70%, 90% and 100%. Nothing is ever added to your bill without you choosing it.

Customer stories

There is no testimonial here yet.

When a hotel in Sharjah agrees to be named, its story goes in this space: what it was losing, what it changed, and what its own team says about it. Until then this space stays empty on purpose. We are not going to write a quotation nobody said, or count customers we do not have.

Questions

What operators ask us.

Guests ask whether alcohol is served. What does it say?

Exactly what you have written, and nothing else. This is a question a Sharjah property is asked constantly, the answer is the same every time, and it is far better read back off your own note than improvised by whoever happens to be at the counter.

Somebody wants a room for two months

It takes the dates, who is staying, whether a company is paying and a number, and flags it as a long-stay enquiry. It does not give a monthly rate or say whether a unit is free, because both of those are decided by a person looking at the building.

Which week does it work — Sharjah's or Dubai's?

Whichever you set, and it answers the phone on every day of the week regardless. That is the useful part in this emirate: a Friday enquiry from somebody on the Dubai calendar is taken down as a request rather than left ringing.

A guest is driving over and cannot find the building

It reads your own directions back — the street, the landmark, which side of the corniche, where the parking is — and takes the arrival time for the desk. What it will not do is invent a landmark to be helpful.

Will it quote a rate?

Only a rate you have written down as a published one, in your own words, and never a rate for a particular date. Room pricing moves by the day, so anything tied to a date is taken as an enquiry for the desk rather than answered.

Can it take a card to guarantee a booking?

No. Belline never asks for card details, a passport number or anything else of that kind, on the phone or on WhatsApp. Payment and identity belong at your desk and in your own systems.
