Belline in Dubai
AI receptionist for barbershops in Dubai
A Dubai barbershop is busiest from eight in the evening until closing, and that is also when the phone goes unanswered. Belline picks it up, reads back your prices, takes the request with the barber named — and never says how long the wait is.

Two calls a barbershop actually takes.
The first is the request taken for your team to confirm. The second is the call Belline refuses or hands over — which is the one you are really deciding about.
Dubai, specifically
What a barbershop in Dubai is actually answering.
Dubai is a city where the working day and the trading day are different things.
The busy hours are the late ones
Dubai grooms late. A gents' shop here does a good part of its trade after eight in the evening, when the offices have emptied and the malls are still going, and plenty of them stay open until well past midnight. Those are also the hours with three chairs running and nobody free to reach a handset. Belline answers through all of it, takes the name, the barber and the service, and does not interrupt a fade to do it.
Thursday and Friday are the queue, and Eid is the year
The evenings before the weekend are when everyone in the city decides at once that they need a cut, and the days before Eid are that same rush stretched over a week, with shops running late into the night and customers ringing round to find one that can take them. Belline answers every one of those calls, takes each request with the barber's name on it, and does not start inventing times to get through them faster.
The booking arrives as a message
In Dubai a customer will message a shop before he rings it, off an Instagram profile or a saved WhatsApp thread, and he expects an answer the way he would get one from a friend. Belline answers a WhatsApp number of its own alongside the phone, from the same price list and the same walk-in rules, so a man asking what a skin fade costs gets the same answer whichever way he asked.
He is asking for a man, not a shop
Barbers in this city move between shops, and a customer who found the one who cuts his hair the way he likes it follows him and will wait a fortnight rather than sit in anyone else's chair. A request that loses the name is a request the counter has to ring back about, which in a city with a barbershop on every second corner is usually the call you do not win. Belline captures the name first and what he wants done second.
Languages on the line
English is the working language of most Dubai businesses, and Arabic is the official one. On a busy reception line you will also hear Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam and Tagalog, because that is who lives and works here. Belline answers in English.
In an emergency
Belline gives the instruction you set for the UAE: 998 for an ambulance, or the nearest emergency department. It takes no appointment request at that moment, because an appointment would be the wrong answer.
Your own number
Keep the Dubai number on your door and your listings. You forward the calls nobody answers; nothing about how customers reach you changes.
What comes down the line
Every call a barbershop gets, and what happens to it.
With your calendar connected, Belline checks it and books the time straight in, on the phone, in chat, on WhatsApp and on video. Without one, it takes the request and your team confirms it.
Appointment requests, with the barber named
Who they want, what they want done, and when they could come. Belline takes all three and your shop confirms the time in the book you already keep.
Prices and what each service is
Straight off your list — the cut, the skin fade, the beard trim, the hot towel shave, the child's cut — in your words and with the length of each where you have written it. A service not on the list is a question for your team, not a number Belline invents.
Walk-ins and how busy it is
Belline says what you have written about walk-in hours and how the queue works. It does not say how long the wait is or whether anybody is free, because it is not standing in your shop and the only honest answer comes from somebody who is.
Groups, weddings and home visits
A wedding party, a father and three sons before a holiday, somebody asking whether a barber will come to a hotel. Taken as its own kind of message — the date, the headcount, the place and a number — and flagged for whoever prices that sort of thing.
Hours, directions and parking
Which nights you are open late, where the shop actually is, where to leave a car. Read back exactly as you wrote it, and taken as a message when it is not written down anywhere.
Changes, no-shows and deposits
A customer moving or dropping an appointment is taken as a message with everything he said, so the chair can be given to somebody else. Where you take a deposit, Belline says the rule you wrote and does not waive it.
Products, vouchers and anything you sell
What you have written about it and the price you set. Anything beyond that — stock, a gift voucher somebody wants tonight — is a message with a number, rather than a promise the counter has to keep.
Where it stops
The most important thing it does is know what it must not answer.
Belline will not say how long the wait is, that a barber is free, that a chair is open, or that an appointment is held. It has no view of your floor and it does not guess at one. It reads back your prices and your walk-in rules as you wrote them, takes the request with the barber named, and your shop confirms.

Set up from what you already have.
Most of the work is checking what Belline found. You decide when customers reach it.
-
Give Belline what you already have
Your website, price list or brochure. It reads them and drafts your services, prices, hours and the questions a barbershop gets asked every day.
-
Check what it found
Fix anything wrong, fill the gaps, and set the rules it must hold. Nothing goes live until you have read it.
-
Switch it on
Ring it yourself first. Then forward your line and paste one line of HTML into your website. Customers only reach Belline once you do.

An answering service takes a message. Belline answers the question, takes the details and tells your team what to do next.
What counts as a minute
A minute is time Belline spends on a live call with your caller — on your phone line or through the voice button on your website — from the moment it answers to the moment the call ends, rounded up to the next whole minute. Calls you make from your own test console do not count, and neither do calls cut short by a fault on our side.
What counts as a conversation
A conversation is one customer's thread in your website chat or on WhatsApp in which Belline replies at least once. Everything that customer says in the 24 hours after Belline's first reply is the same conversation. Threads your team answers without Belline do not count.
When an allowance runs out
When an allowance runs out, you choose what happens: move up to the next plan, or stop at the allowance. We tell you at 70%, 90% and 100%. Nothing is ever added to your bill without you choosing it.
7 days free
7 days free: 30 voice or 12 video minutes and 50 text conversations, with your website chat, the voice button on the same page, WhatsApp and your phone line all switched on. Customer stories
There is no testimonial here yet.
When a barbershop in Dubai agrees to be named, its story goes in this space: what it was losing, what it changed, and what its own team says about it. Until then this space stays empty on purpose. We are not going to write a quotation nobody said, or count customers we do not have.

Questions
What operators ask us.
Can it tell a customer whether to come down now?
No. Belline cannot see your floor, and in Dubai on a Thursday night the honest answer changes every ten minutes. It reads back what you have written about walk-ins and when you are open late, takes the request, and leaves the queue to whoever is standing in the shop.
Does it answer our WhatsApp as well as the phone?
Yes, on its own WhatsApp number, from the same list of services and the same rules. A customer who sends a picture of the cut he wants gets it passed to your team with his number and his request — Belline does not tell him whether it can be done or what it would cost.
What happens on the nights we run past midnight?
It reads the hours you have set, so if you are open until one it says so. And it keeps taking requests in the hours you are closed, which for a Dubai shop is the small window where the next day's bookings quietly accumulate instead of going to voicemail.
A hotel asks for a barber to come to a guest's room
It is taken as its own enquiry: the hotel, the date, how many people and a number, flagged for whoever decides whether you do that. Belline does not agree to it and puts no price on it, because a call-out is a different business from a chair in your shop.
Can it tell somebody how long the wait is right now?
No, and that is deliberate. Belline cannot see your floor, and a wait invented on the phone is a customer who arrives annoyed. It says what you have written about how walk-ins work, and leaves the state of the queue to whoever is standing in the shop.
Will it book with a particular barber?
It takes the barber's name, what the customer wants done and when he could come. With your calendar connected, Belline checks it and books the time straight in, on the phone, in chat, on WhatsApp and on video. Without one, it takes the request and your team confirms it.
