Deleting your data
Last updated 7 October 2026
This page is for anyone who wants data Belline holds about them deleted — whether you are a business that uses Belline, or someone who messaged a business and reached Belline instead of a person. It says what we hold, how to ask, and how long it takes.
The full picture of what we collect and why is in the privacy policy. This page is only about getting rid of it.
How to ask
Write to hello@belline.ai with the subject Data deletion request, and tell us enough to find you:
- the telephone number, Instagram account or email address you used, and
- roughly which business you contacted, if you remember.
You do not need an account, and you do not need to explain why. We may ask one question back if we cannot tell which records are yours — deleting the wrong person's conversation is worse than asking.
We answer within 30 days, and usually within a few working days.
What gets deleted
If you contacted a business through Belline, that means the record of the conversation: what was said, the telephone number or account handle it came from, any name or email you gave, and anything the business's team wrote on it afterwards.
If you run a business that uses Belline, closing the account deletes its data within 90 days. You can also ask for specific records to go sooner without closing anything.
What we cannot delete, and why
Two honest limits.
Records we must keep by law. Invoices and payment records have a retention period we do not get to choose. Those stay for as long as the law requires and are not used for anything else.
Things that are the business's own, not ours. If Belline put a booking in a business's own calendar, that entry belongs to that business and sits in their Google or Outlook account. We can delete our copy; theirs is theirs to remove, and we will tell you who to ask.
WhatsApp and Instagram
When you message a business on WhatsApp or Instagram and Belline answers, we store the conversation so the business can read it and follow up. Deleting it here removes our copy.
It does not remove the conversation from your own WhatsApp or Instagram — that copy is yours, on your phone and in Meta's systems, and only you can delete it. Meta's own policies cover what they hold.
To stop Belline answering you at all, simply stop messaging that business, or tell them you would rather speak to a person; every conversation can be handed to their team.
If you connected an account to Belline
A business that connected Google Calendar, Outlook, a CRM, Slack or Instagram can disconnect any of them in Belline at any time. Disconnecting deletes the stored credential, and from that moment Belline cannot reach that account at all. To remove Belline from the other side as well, do it in that service's own settings.
